'Bunk! is a series of prints and collages which are mainly made from magazines given to the artist by American ex-servicemen. They show Paolozzi’s fascination with popular culture and technology, as well as with the glamour of American consumerism'
The series was created in 1972 and were seen as revolutionary. They are now regarded as one of the earliest examples of British pop art.
It seems like something I would be really interested in , Ive always loved old american consumerism and the culture that surrounded it. The fact that the artist's imagery was given to him by an American Ex- Servicemen suggests that work may relate to war time propaganda and elements of pop culture surrounding this time.
